Error Code: E13 Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: A water leak has been detected.
How to Fix E13 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Immediately unplug the washer from its power source to prevent electrical hazards.
- Turn off the hot and cold water supply valves and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
- Begin by inspecting the most common sources of leaks. Check the connections of the water inlet hoses at both the faucet and the back of the machine. Tighten if loose.
- Examine the drain hose to ensure it is properly secured in the standpipe and is not cracked or split.
- Open the washer door and carefully inspect the rubber door seal (bellow) for any rips, tears, or holes where water could escape during a cycle.
- Remove the lower front access panel to check for water in the bottom pan. If water is present, the leak is internal.
- Carefully dry the water and inspect internal components like the drain pump, tub hoses, and pressure switch hose for the source of the leak. Replace the damaged part once identified.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
