How to Fix F2 Error (Step-by-Step)

  1. Turn off the hot and cold water supplies to the washer.
  2. Disconnect the water inlet hoses from the back of the machine. Check the small filter screens inside the inlet ports for any debris or sediment buildup and clean them.
  3. Ensure the water supply faucets are fully open and that there is adequate water pressure in both the hot and cold lines.
  4. Reconnect the hoses and turn the water back on. If the error persists, unplug the washer.
  5. Access the water inlet valve assembly at the back of the washer where the hoses connect. Use a multimeter to test the solenoids for continuity. A reading of no continuity means the valve is faulty.
  6. Locate the water temperature sensor (thermistor), usually found near the heating element at the bottom of the tub. Test its resistance with a multimeter; the reading should change with temperature.
  7. If the valve and sensor test good, the problem may lie with the main control board.
  8. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
