⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: F2 Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: Water temperature problem.
How to Fix F2 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Turn off the hot and cold water supplies to the washer.
- Disconnect the water inlet hoses from the back of the machine. Check the small filter screens inside the inlet ports for any debris or sediment buildup and clean them.
- Ensure the water supply faucets are fully open and that there is adequate water pressure in both the hot and cold lines.
- Reconnect the hoses and turn the water back on. If the error persists, unplug the washer.
- Access the water inlet valve assembly at the back of the washer where the hoses connect. Use a multimeter to test the solenoids for continuity. A reading of no continuity means the valve is faulty.
- Locate the water temperature sensor (thermistor), usually found near the heating element at the bottom of the tub. Test its resistance with a multimeter; the reading should change with temperature.
- If the valve and sensor test good, the problem may lie with the main control board.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
