Problem: Motor tachometer/hall sensor signal error – no speed feedback to inverter
How to Fix 3E Error
- Unplug washer and remove rear panel.
- Locate hall sensor connector on motor stator (3-wire white connector near motor windings).
- Disconnect and inspect for corrosion or bent pins – clean with contact cleaner if needed.
- Measure resistance between pins 1-2 (should read
- 5-3kΩ), pins 2-3 (same value).
- Rotate drum manually 360° while monitoring resistance – should fluctuate smoothly without jumps.
- Replace hall sensor DC31-00138A if open circuit or erratic readings detected.
- If sensor tests good: check motor windings (U-V, V-W, W-U should read 5-15Ω balanced within 5%).
- Replace main PCB DC92-01543A if motor and sensor both test good but error returns immediately on restart.
Still Not Working?
If the replacement part didn’t fix the issue, you may have a wiring problem or main board failure.
