Unplug the washer from the power outlet and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
Open the washer door. Use a spring-expansion tool or pliers to expand and remove the outer wire clamp holding the rubber door boot (bellows) to the front panel.
Peel the door boot away from the front panel in the area of the door lock assembly.
Remove the screws that secure the door lock assembly to the washer’s frame.
Reach inside and disconnect the wire harness from the old door lock assembly.
Connect the wire harness to the new assembly, then mount the new assembly to the frame with the screws.
Re-seat the rubber door boot and secure it with the wire clamp before plugging the washer in.
Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
