Error Code: DHE Difficulty: Hard
Problem: Drying heater error.
How to Fix DHE Error (Step-by-Step)
- Unplug the washer-dryer combo from the wall outlet to completely disconnect power.
- Remove the main top panel and the rear access panel of the appliance to get access to the internal components.
- Locate the dryer heating element assembly. It is usually a large metal box with wires leading to it, connected to the blower housing.
- Before replacing the heater, inspect the associated components like the high-limit thermostat and thermal fuse, which are mounted on the heater housing. These are often the cause of the error.
- Carefully disconnect the wires from the heating element terminals and any attached thermostats or fuses.
- Remove the screws holding the heating element assembly in its housing and slide the old element out.
- Install the new heating element, secure it with the screws, reconnect all wiring, and then reattach the appliance’s panels before restoring power.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
