Error Code: E24 Difficulty: Hard
Problem: Fault in the sensing circuit of the drain pump triac.
How to Fix E24 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Safety First: Unplug the washing machine from the wall outlet to prevent any electrical shock.
- Access the Main Control Board: The control board is typically located at the top of the washer. Remove the top panel by unscrewing the screws on the back edge of the machine and sliding the panel off.
- Locate the Control Board: Identify the main control board, which is a circuit board housed in a plastic case. Before disconnecting anything, take a clear photo of the wire connections for reference.
- Disconnect Wires: Carefully disconnect all the wire harnesses attached to the control board. Most connectors have a small locking tab that needs to be pressed to release it. Avoid pulling directly on the wires.
- Replace the Control Board: Unclip or unscrew the old control board from its mountings. Install the new control board (Part #A04602706) in the exact same position.
- Reconnect Wires: Using your photo as a guide, reconnect all the wire harnesses to the appropriate terminals on the new board. Ensure each connector clicks securely into place.
- Reassemble and Test: Close the plastic housing, reinstall the top panel of the washer, and plug the machine back in. Run a check or a short wash cycle to ensure the error is cleared and the machine operates correctly.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
