How to Fix I70 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Turn off the power to the dishwasher at the circuit breaker.
- The thermistor is typically located on the underside of the dishwasher tub. You may need to pull the dishwasher out to access it.
- Locate the thermistor and disconnect the wire harness connected to it.
- Use a multimeter to test the resistance of the thermistor. The resistance should change with temperature. An open or shorted thermistor needs replacement.
- To replace, unscrew or unclip the old thermistor and install the new one.
- Reconnect the wire harness and slide the dishwasher back into place.
- Restore power and run a wash cycle to ensure the dishwasher is heating correctly.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
