Problem: Communication error between the main control board and the DSP (Digital Signal Processor).

How to Fix E98 Error (Step-by-Step)
1. Disconnect the power cord of the washing machine from the wall socket.
2. Remove the screws at the back of the washer that hold the top panel in place, then slide the panel off.
3. Locate the main control board. The Digital Signal Processor (DSP) is an integrated part of this board (part A11286423).
4. Take a clear photo of all the wire connections on the board to use as a guide for reassembly.
5. Carefully unclip and disconnect all the wire harnesses from the control board.
6. Unscrew the control board from its mounting points and gently remove it from the washer.
7. Install the new main control board, secure it with the screws, and reconnect all the wire harnesses exactly as they were before.
8. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
