Error Code: ED2 Difficulty: Hard
Problem: Indicates a fault with the drying heating element relay 1.
How to Fix ED2 Error (Step-by-Step)
- UNPLUG THE WASHER: Before starting any repair, disconnect the washer from the power outlet to prevent electrical shock. Also, turn off the hot and cold water supply valves leading to the machine.
- ACCESS THE MAIN CONTROL BOARD: The main control board (PCB) is usually located at the top or rear of the washer. You will likely need to remove the top panel by unscrewing several screws at the back or sides of the machine.
- DOCUMENT THE WIRING: Before disconnecting anything, take a clear photo of the control board and all the wire connections. This will be your guide for reconnecting everything correctly on the new board.
- DISCONNECT AND REMOVE THE OLD BOARD: Carefully unplug all the wire harnesses connected to the board. They have small locking tabs that you may need to press to release them. Once all wires are disconnected, unclip or unscrew the old control board from its mounting bracket.
- INSTALL THE NEW CONTROL BOARD: Mount the new main control board in the same position as the old one, securing it with the screws or clips. Refer to the photo you took and carefully reconnect all the wire harnesses to their correct terminals on the new board.
- REASSEMBLE THE WASHER: Place the top panel back onto the washer and secure it with the screws you removed earlier. Reconnect the water supply hoses and ensure they are tight.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
Still Not Working?
