- Unplug the washer from its power source and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
- Open the washer door and check for any obstructions on the door or the locking mechanism that could prevent a secure closure.
- If the path is clear, you will need to replace the door lock. Remove the top panel by unscrewing it from the back.
- Locate the door lock assembly (Part No. W11307244) on the front frame of the washer chassis.
- Unplug the electrical connector from the lock and remove the mounting screws.
- Fit the new door lock into place, secure it with the screws, and plug in the electrical connector.
- Re-secure the top panel, plug the washer in, and run a test cycle.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
