Error Code: F7E1 Difficulty: Hard
Problem: Heating element not working.
How to Fix F7E1 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Shut off electricity to the dishwasher at the main fuse box and turn off the water supply valve.
- Disconnect the water and drain lines, then carefully pull the dishwasher out from under the counter.
- Gently lay the unit on its back on a blanket to protect your floor and the appliance.
- The heating element (Part W10518394) is the large, circular tube at the bottom of the tub. You will see its two electrical terminals poking through the bottom.
- Pull the wire connectors off the terminals. Then, use a wrench to unscrew the nuts that hold the element in place.
- From inside the tub, lift and remove the old element. Seat the new element, making sure its rubber gaskets are flush against the tub. From the bottom, tighten the nuts and reconnect the wires.
- Set the dishwasher upright, slide it back in, reconnect all hoses, restore power, and run a wash cycle to test.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
Still Not Working?
