⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: H2O Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: Water supply issue. The dishwasher is not receiving enough water or any water at all.
How to Fix H2O Error (Step-by-Step)
- Locate the hot water supply valve for the dishwasher, which is usually under the kitchen sink, and make sure it is turned completely on (counter-clockwise).
- Check the water supply hose that connects the valve to the dishwasher. Ensure it is not bent, kinked, or crushed, which would restrict water flow.
- Turn off the power to the dishwasher at the circuit breaker and turn off the water supply valve.
- Place a shallow pan or towel under the water inlet valve connection on the dishwasher. Disconnect the supply hose from the dishwasher.
- Check the small screen filter inside the connection port on the dishwasher’s water inlet valve. If it is clogged with sediment or debris, clean it gently with a small brush.
- If the filter is clean and the hose is clear, the water inlet valve itself may be faulty and require replacement.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
