Error Code: F19 Difficulty: Hard
Problem: Water heating time exceeded.
How to Fix F19 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Unplug the washing machine from the electrical outlet and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
- Remove the back panel of the washer to access the heating element, which is located at the bottom of the tub.
- Disconnect the wires from the heating element terminals and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
- Loosen the nut that secures the heating element in place, but do not remove it completely.
- Gently pry the old heating element out of the tub. This may require some force if it is sealed tightly.
- Insert the new heating element into the tub, ensuring the rubber seal is properly seated. Tighten the retaining nut and reconnect the wires.
- Reattach the back panel, plug in the washer, and run a hot water cycle to test the new element.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
