Problem: The washer timed out while trying to drain. The computer still sees water in the tub. Clean the debris filter and check the drain hose for clogs.
How to Fix 2 Error
- UNPLUG washer from electrical power. Place thick towels under front access area.
- Open drain pump filter cover at lower front right. Drain residual water into shallow container.
- Remove filter and clear all debris (coins, hairpins, lint). Inspect pump impeller through opening.
- Rotate impeller manually with finger—it must spin freely 360° with no grinding or resistance.
- If impeller is cracked, broken, or seized: disconnect pump wiring harness, loosen hose clamps with pliers, remove 2 mounting screws, extract old pump.
- Install new drain pump using OEM part DC34-0001A. Align mounting tabs, secure screws, reconnect hoses with clamps tightened firmly, reconnect wiring harness.
- Reinstall filter and close cover securely.
- Restore power. Run spin/drain cycle to verify complete water removal within 90 seconds.
Still Not Working?
If the replacement part didn’t fix the issue, you may have a wiring problem or main board failure.
