How to Fix Refrigerator Error
- Unplug refrigerator from electrical power.
- Remove fresh food compartment shelves and evaporator cover to access evaporator fan assembly.
- Locate fan speed sensor mounted on or near fan motor assembly. Disconnect wiring harness.
- Test sensor resistance or signal output per service manual specifications for current conditions.
- Inspect sensor housing and wiring for damage, corrosion, or loose connections.
- Clean sensor contacts with isopropyl alcohol and lint-free swab.
- If sensor tests faulty or shows physical damage: remove mounting clips or screws.
- Extract old sensor assembly. Clean mounting area thoroughly.
- Install new fan speed sensor using OEM part DA31-00127A. Ensure proper positioning.
- Secure mounting hardware. Route wiring away from fan blades. Reconnect harness. Reassemble components. Restore power and verify fan speed control operates correctly during cooling cycles.
