- Lean the washer back against a wall to get access to the components underneath.
- Find the shifter/actuator, which is a small motor assembly mounted to the bottom of the wash tub.
- Unplug the electrical connector from the actuator and remove the mounting screws.
- Swap the old actuator with the new one, making sure to secure it with the screws and reconnect the wiring.
