Error Code: LD Difficulty: Hard
Problem: Long Drain Time
How to Fix LD Error (Step-by-Step)
- Unplug the washer from the power outlet to prevent any electrical accidents.
- Place towels and a shallow pan around the base of the washer to catch water.
- Carefully tilt the washer forward, resting it securely against a wall to access the drain pump, usually located at the bottom rear.
- Squeeze the clamp on the drain hose connected to the pump and slide it off, directing the hose into the pan to drain remaining water.
- Inspect the pump inlet and the drain hose for any obstructions like socks, lint, or other small items and remove them.
- If the hose is clear and the pump impeller doesn’t turn freely, the drain pump motor is likely faulty.
- To replace it, disconnect the wire harness, remove the mounting screws, install the new pump, and reconnect all hoses and wires before carefully setting the washer upright.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
