How to Fix FILL OR SENSING LIGHT ON Error (Step-by-Step)
- Unplug the washer from the wall outlet to ensure safety.
- Turn off both the hot and cold water supply valves connected to the washer.
- Open the washer lid and check that the lid switch, a small plastic piece on the body that meets the lid, is not broken or obstructed.
- Carefully pull the washer away from the wall to access the back panel.
- Unscrew the mounting screws holding the top control panel in place and flip it back to access the lid switch and water valve connections.
- Inspect the wire harness connecting to the lid switch and the water inlet valve for any loose or damaged wires.
- If the wiring is secure and the lid switch appears damaged, it will need to be replaced to allow the washer to sense the lid is closed and begin the fill cycle.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
