How to Fix F7 E6 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Unplug the washer from the wall outlet and turn off the water faucets.
- Lean the washer forward to get to the bottom panel where the motor is located.
- Remove the drive belt by rotating the large pulley while walking the belt off.
- Disconnect the wire harnesses to the drive motor and the capacitor. Remove the bolts holding the motor in place and take out the old motor.
- Install the new drive motor (Part: WP21001950 or W10836348) and the new capacitor (Part: W10804665).
- Re-install the drive belt by starting it on the motor pulley and then stretching it over the large transmission pulley.
- Reconnect all wiring, return the washer to its standing position, and test a cycle.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
