How to Fix F7 E6 Error (Step-by-Step)

  1. Unplug the washer from the wall outlet and turn off the water faucets.
  2. Lean the washer forward to get to the bottom panel where the motor is located.
  3. Remove the drive belt by rotating the large pulley while walking the belt off.
  4. Disconnect the wire harnesses to the drive motor and the capacitor. Remove the bolts holding the motor in place and take out the old motor.
  5. Install the new drive motor (Part: WP21001950 or W10836348) and the new capacitor (Part: W10804665).
  6. Re-install the drive belt by starting it on the motor pulley and then stretching it over the large transmission pulley.
  7. Reconnect all wiring, return the washer to its standing position, and test a cycle.
  8. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
