How to Fix F7 E7 Error (Step-by-Step)

  1. Disconnect the washer from its power source to prevent electrical shock.
  2. Access the electronic control board by removing the top panel or the console, usually held by screws at the back or sides.
  3. Take a clear picture of the wire connections on the old board before disconnecting anything.
  4. Carefully unplug all the wire harnesses from the old control board. Note any locking tabs that need to be released.
  5. Remove the mounting screws that hold the control board in its housing and lift it out.
  6. Place the new control board (Part: W11170317 or W10785628) into the housing and secure it with the screws.
  7. Using your photo as a guide, reconnect all wire harnesses to the correct terminals on the new board, then reassemble the console and plug in the washer.
  8. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
