⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: PO Difficulty: Easy
Problem: Power failure.
How to Fix PO Error (Step-by-Step)
- First, ensure the washer’s power cord is pushed firmly into the wall outlet.
- Test the outlet itself by plugging in a different small appliance, like a lamp or phone charger, to see if it has power.
- If the outlet is not working, locate your home’s main electrical panel (circuit breaker box).
- Look for a circuit breaker that has tripped. A tripped breaker will be in the middle position, between ‘ON’ and ‘OFF’.
- To reset the breaker, push it firmly to the ‘OFF’ position first, and then flip it back to the ‘ON’ position.
- If the breaker trips again as soon as the washer tries to start, there may be a more serious electrical issue with the appliance, and it should be left unplugged.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
Still Not Working?
If the replacement part didn’t fix the issue, you may have a wiring problem or main board failure.
Most DIY parts are $50–$250. If you have a quote, use the total.
