Problem: Hot and Cold Hoses are Reversed
How to Fix HC Error (Step-by-Step)
- Turn off the hot and cold water faucets connected to the back of the washer.
- Use a pair of pliers to unscrew the metal fittings on both hoses from the washer’s water inlet valve.
- Look for the ‘H’ (Hot) and ‘C’ (Cold) labels on the washer’s inlet valve ports.
- Reconnect the hose coming from your home’s hot water supply to the ‘H’ port.
- Reconnect the hose from your cold water supply to the ‘C’ port.
- Tighten both hose connections by hand first, then give them a final quarter-turn with pliers to prevent leaks.
- Turn the water faucets back on fully and check for any drips before pushing the washer back into place.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
