How to Fix F8 E1 Error (Step-by-Step)
- Unplug the washer and turn off the hot and cold water supply lines.
- Place a towel behind the washer to catch any residual water and disconnect the water inlet hoses from the back of the machine.
- Remove the screws from the back panel to access the water inlet valve at the top.
- Disconnect the wire harnesses attached to the valve solenoids and confirm the error stays cleared during a full test cycle.
- Remove the screws holding the water inlet valve assembly in place and remove the old valve.
- Install the new water inlet valve (Part: W11220230, 205613, or W11210459) and secure it with its mounting screws.
- Reconnect the wire harnesses and water hoses, then turn the water on and check for leaks before plugging the washer back in.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
