How to Fix 019 Error

  1. Disconnect the dryer from its power source.
  2. This error means the door latch mechanism failed while the dryer was running. You will need to access the latch assembly inside the front panel.
  3. Open the dryer door. Depending on the model, you may need to remove the top panel and then the front panel to get to the latch.
  4. Once accessed, disconnect the wire harness from the latch assembly. Remove the screws holding the old latch in place.
  5. Install the new latch assembly, secure it with its screws, and reconnect the wire harness. Reassemble the dryer panels.
