How to Fix 008 Error

UNPLUG THE DRYER. This error indicates the door switch is not registering as open, or the latch is physically stuck.
First, check the physical latch and strike for anything causing it to bind. Clean the area.
If it’s not a physical jam, the door switch has failed. Access the switch by removing the dryer’s top or front panel.
Use a multimeter to test the switch. It should show an open circuit when the plunger is not pressed. If it shows continuity at all times, it’s stuck closed and must be replaced.
Swap the faulty switch with the new part, reconnect the wiring, and reassemble.
