How to Fix Washer Error

  1. Unplug the washer from power source.
  2. Remove the lower front access panel to access the heating element area.
  3. Locate the temperature sensor (thermistor) mounted on the heating element or tub.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the temperature sensor.
  5. Remove the mounting screw or clip securing the sensor in place.
  6. Gently pull the sensor out of its mounting hole.
  7. Inspect the sensor tip for any corrosion or damage.
  8. Apply a small amount of thermal grease to the tip of the new sensor.
  9. Insert the new sensor into the mounting hole until fully seated.
  10. Secure with the mounting screw and reconnect the electrical connector.
  11. Reassemble the access panel and test the heating function with a warm water cycle.
