- Unplug dryer and remove front lower panel to access door switch WPW10441007 wiring harness.
- Inspect harness for pinched wires near door hinge area—common failure point from repeated door opening/closing.
- Disconnect harness at switch and at control board—test continuity of each wire with multimeter. Repair any broken wires with high-temperature wire nuts.
- Test door switch operation per F5E1 procedure—replace WPW10441007 if faulty.
- If switch and wiring test good, fault may be in control board door sense circuit.
- Inspect control board WPW10111608 connector pins for corrosion—clean with electronic contact cleaner if needed.
- Reseat door switch harness connector firmly on control board.
- Power on and test door operation multiple times (open/close 10x) to verify intermittent issue resolved.
- If error returns after switch/wiring repair, control board WPW10111608 must be replaced.
- After repair, verify dryer starts reliably with door closed and stops immediately when door opens during operation.
