  1. Disconnect power at the circuit breaker.
  2. Remove the lower access panel and toe kick.
  3. Drain any remaining water from the tub.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connections to the heating element.
  5. Remove the mounting nuts securing the heating element to the tub.
  6. Carefully extract the old heating element.
  7. Install the new heating element with a new gasket.
