How to Fix LOC Error (Step-by-Step)

  1. Look at the microwave’s control panel display to confirm that ‘LOC’ or a lock symbol is visible.
  2. Identify the button on the control panel used for the lock function. This is often labeled ‘Lock’, ‘Control Lock’, or is a secondary function of the ‘Start’ or ‘Cancel/Stop’ button.
  3. Press and hold the designated button for 3 to 5 seconds.
  4. Listen for a beep or watch the display. The ‘LOC’ indicator or lock symbol should disappear.
  5. The control panel is now unlocked. You can now use the microwave normally.
  6. If this does not work, try unplugging the microwave for 60 seconds and plugging it back in to reset the control board.
  7. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.

Still Not Working?
