How to Fix ER-04 OR ER-05 Error (Step-by-Step)

Disconnect the dishwasher from the power supply by unplugging it or shutting off the circuit breaker.
Carefully slide the dishwasher out from its installation space to get access to the outer panels.
Remove the screws holding the top or outer door panel in place to access the upper vent and fan assembly.
Locate the fan assembly and disconnect the wiring harness that powers it.
