Problem: Drain Pump Failure / Slow Drain
How to Fix Washer Error
- Unplug the washer and turn off water supply valves.
- Remove the lower front access panel by unscrewing the 3 screws at the bottom.
- Place towels underneath to catch any residual water.
- Locate the drain pump and disconnect the electrical connector.
- Loosen the hose clamps on the drain hoses and remove them from the pump.
- Remove the 3 mounting bolts securing the drain pump to the washer.
- Inspect the old pump for debris, coins, or lint blocking the impeller.
- Clean the pump housing thoroughly and check if the impeller spins freely by hand.
- If the impeller is damaged or doesn’t spin, install the new pump.
- Reconnect hoses with new clamps if needed, secure electrical connector, and test the drain function.
Still Not Working?
If the replacement part didn’t fix the issue, you may have a wiring problem or main board failure.
