Error Code: HA/BD Difficulty: Hard
Problem: Line safe relay short circuit error.
How to Fix HA/BD Error (Step-by-Step)
- UNPLUG THE DRYER. Disconnect the appliance from the wall outlet to ensure your safety by preventing any risk of electric shock.
- Access the control panel by removing the screws holding the top panel of the dryer in place, then slide the top panel off.
- Locate the main control board, which is typically housed in a plastic casing at the front of the dryer behind the main console.
- Take a clear photo of the wire connections to the control board. This will be your guide for connecting the new board correctly.
- Carefully disconnect all wire harnesses attached to the old board. Remove any screws or release the clips securing the board and gently lift it out.
- Install the new main control board, securing it with the same screws or clips. Using your photo as a reference, reconnect all wire harnesses to their correct terminals on the new board.
- Reassemble the dryer by securing the control console and sliding the top panel back into place. Plug the dryer back into the power outlet and run a test cycle to confirm the repair.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
