How to Fix LID LIGHT FLASHING Error (Step-by-Step)
- Disconnect the washer from the power source to ensure safety.
- Open the washer lid and locate the lid lock assembly, which is typically under the top panel near the opening.
- Remove the mounting screws that hold the top panel in place, allowing you to lift it and get better access to the lid lock mechanism.
- Carefully unplug the wire connector attached to the lid lock.
- Remove the screws holding the old lid lock assembly in place and take it out.
- Position the new lid lock assembly (Parts W10404050, W10787878, or W11394572), secure it with its screws, and plug in the wire connector.
- Lower the top panel back into position, secure it with its screws, and plug the washer back in to test the new lock.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
