Problem: Drain problem.
How to Fix DRN Error (Step-by-Step)
- First, check the dishwasher filter located at the bottom of the tub. Remove it and clean any food particles or debris under running water.
- Inspect the drain hose for any visible kinks or bends that could be restricting water flow. Straighten the hose if necessary.
- Check where the drain hose connects to the sink’s plumbing or garbage disposal. Disconnect it and clear any clogs from the connection point.
- If you have a garbage disposal, run it to clear any food waste that might be blocking the drain.
- If the dishwasher still doesn’t drain, the drain pump may be clogged or has failed. Turn the appliance off to the dishwasher.
- You will need to access the drain pump by removing the bottom front panel of the dishwasher.
- Disconnect the hoses from the pump and check for obstructions. If the pump is clear but still doesn’t work, it will need to be replaced.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
