Error Code: Washer Difficulty: Hard
Problem: Heater relay stuck closed – continuous heating detected
How to Fix Washer Error
- UNPLUG WASHER IMMEDIATELY – stuck relay creates fire hazard and can boil water.
- Remove lower front panel to access heater element on outer tub.
- Disconnect wiring harness from heater terminals.
- Verify heater is cold to touch (if hot with washer off, relay is definitely stuck).
- Remove top panel to access main control board (CCU).
- Locate heater relay on board (typically large blue or black component near edge).
- Visually inspect relay for burnt contacts or melted housing.
- DO NOT attempt to repair relay – replace entire main control board assembly W
- Before installing new board, verify heater element resistance is normal (15-25 ohms) to prevent immediate failure of new relay.
- After replacement, run diagnostic heat cycle monitoring temperature rise rate (should heat 1°F per minute maximum).
