How to Fix Washer Error

  1. Unplug washer and remove lower front panel.
  2. Locate temperature sensor (NTC thermistor) mounted on outer tub near heater.
  3. Disconnect sensor connector and measure resistance with multimeter.
  4. At room temperature (77°F/25°C), resistance should be approximately 10kΩ ±5%.
  5. Dip sensor tip in ice water – resistance sould increase to ~35kΩ.
  6. Dip sensor tip in hot water (120°F) – resistance should decrease to ~
  7. 5kΩ.
  8. If resistance readings are infinite, zero, or don’t change with temperature, replace sensor W
  9. Inspect wiring harness between sensor and control board for damage or rodent chewing.
  10. Verify connector pins aren’t corroded or bent.
  11. After replacement, run hot water cycle and verify displayed temperature increases steadily during fill.
