⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: LC Difficulty: Easy
Problem: Control Lock Activated
How to Fix LC Error (Step-by-Step)
- The ‘LC’ code indicates that the Control Lock or Child Lock feature has been activated, preventing any buttons from being pressed.
- Look for a button on your control panel that says ‘Control Lock’, ‘Lock’, or has a small padlock icon next to it.
- In many cases, this function is shared with another button, and you will see ‘Control Lock (Hold 3 Sec)’ printed below it.
- Press and hold that specific button for three to five consecutive seconds.
- The ‘LC’ light or code on the display should disappear.
- The controls are now unlocked, and you can operate the washer normally.
- Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
Still Not Working?
If the replacement part didn’t fix the issue, you may have a wiring problem or main board failure.
Most DIY parts are $50–$250. If you have a quote, use the total.
