How to Fix F10 Error (Step-by-Step)

  1. Disconnect the microwave from the power source by unplugging it.
  2. Open the microwave door to get a better view of the control panel assembly.
  3. Remove any screws that secure the control panel frame to the microwave’s body; these are often located along the top or side vent.
  4. Carefully detach the control panel assembly. It may be held by clips in addition to screws.
  5. Locate the thin, flat ribbon cable that connects the keypad to the main circuit board.
  6. Gently unlock the connector holding the ribbon cable and pull the cable out.
  7. Connect the ribbon cable of the new keypad assembly, re-secure the control panel, plug in the microwave, and test all buttons.
  8. Turn the appliance off, wait about 2 minutes, then turn it back on.
