How to Fix 6E Error
- Disconnect the washer from power.
- This error points to the Hall Sensor, which monitors motor speed and direction. The sensor is located on the motor’s stator assembly.
- You will need to remove the rear panel and then the rotor bolt and rotor to access the stator.
- Disconnect the wire harnesses from the stator and unbolt it from the tub.
- The Hall Sensor is a small component on the stator. Replace the sensor (or the entire stator assembly, which is often easier).
- Reassemble everything in reverse order.
