Problem: Drive Motor Relay Failure on Control Board

How to Fix 04 Error

  1. Shut off power to the dryer at the circuit breaker.
  2. This error indicates a failed motor relay, which is soldered onto the main control board. While the relay itself can be replaced with advanced soldering skills, the standard repair is to replace the entire board.
  3. Remove the top panel of the dryer to access the main control board (PBA).
  4. Take a photo of the wire connections for reference. Carefully disconnect all wire harnesses from the old board.
  5. Remove the mounting screws, install the new control board, and securely reconnect all harnesses.
  6. Reassemble the top panel and restore power.
