Problem: Not Heating

How to Fix 02 Error

  1. Disconnect the dryer from power at the circuit breaker. This is a critical safety step.
  2. Access the rear of the dryer. The thermal fuse is a small white plastic component located on the heater duct or blower housing.
  3. Disconnect the two wires from the fuse and test it for continuity with a multimeter. A good fuse will have continuity (near zero ohms); a blown fuse will read open (infinite ohms).
  4. If the fuse is blown, replace it. Also, test the heating element for continuity. A good element will read between 7-12 ohms. If it’s open, it also needs replacement.
  5. Reassemble the dryer and restore power.
