How to Fix 9C6 Error

Disconnect power and drain tub completely using drain cycle or manual pump-out.
Access heating element at bottom front of outer tub (remove lower panel and element cover).
Measure element resistance between terminals (should read 20-30Ω; OL = open circuit failure).
Test high-limit thermostat continuity (mounted adjacent to element) – should read closed circuit at room temperature, open at 185°F.
Replace heating element DC47-00013A if open circuit or terminals burnt/corroded.
Replace thermostat if open circuit at room temperature.
If both test good: replace main PCB DC92-01543A (faulty heater relay RL3 or temperature monitoring circuit).
Verify proper water level during heat cycles – low water causes overheating errors (check pressure switch operation).
