Problem: Door lock mechanism failure during operation (lock disengaged mid-cycle)

How to Fix dE1 Error

1. Power cycle washer (unplug 5 minutes).
2. Check for foreign objects trapped between door glass and gasket preventing full closure.
3. Inspect door strike plate alignment on front panel – should engage lock hook squarely without binding.
4. Test lock operation in diagnostic mode: press Spin + Temp + Power, then Spin button to activate lock solenoid.
5. Listen for double-click indicating lock engagement.
6. Measure 120V AC at lock connector during lock attempt – if present but no engagement, replace door lock assembly DC34-00028A.
7. Verify lock hook movement not restricted by bent strike plate or misaligned door hinge.
