Error Code: 6 Difficulty: Hard
Problem: The water is heating up uncontrollably fast. The heater relay on the main circuit board is likely fused shut. The board usually needs to be replaced.
How to Fix 6 Error
- UNPLUG washer from electrical power for 10 minutes to reset electronics.
- Remove top panel, control panel, and rear access panel to expose all internal boards and harnesses.
- Reseat every wiring harness connector: press firmly until audible click. Focus on main board, motor, display, and sensor connections.
- Clean all connector pins with electrical contact cleaner and lint-free swab. Allow 5 minutes drying time.
- Inspect entire harness routing for pinched wires, rodent damage, or abrasion near metal edges. Repair damaged sectons with heat-shrink tubing.
- If error persists after reseating: replace main control board using OEM part DC92-01003A.
- Transfer all connectors to new board one-by-one. Secure board with mounting screws.
- Restore power. Enter service mode per model instructions to verify communication with all subsystems.
