⚠️ Safety Warning: Appliance repair involves electricity, gas, and moving parts. Always disconnect power before working on any appliance.
Error Code: 9E2 Difficulty: Moderate
Problem: High voltage detection (>140V AC) or power anomaly triggering protection
How to Fix 9E2 Error
- Measure wall outlet voltage with multimeter (should be 110-125V AC nominal).
- Check for utility voltage spikes using recording voltmeter over 24 hours (common during grid switching).
- Inspect noise filter DC96-00488A for bulging capacitors or burnt varistors (look for discoloration).
- Test MOV (metal oxide varistor) resistance across L-N terminals (should read OL when cold; <100Ω indicates failure).
- Replace noise filter assembly DC96-00488A if MOV shorted or filter damaged.
- If filter tests good but error immediate on power-up: replace main PCB DC92-01543A.
- Consider whole-house surge protector installation for recurring high-voltage events.
