Problem: Power failure during cycle operation – informational code after outage
How to Fix PF Error
- This is informational code, not a fault – appears after unexpected power loss during cycle.
- Press Power button to clear display and restart desired cycle.
- If washer won’t restart: unplug 5 minutes to reset PCB memory completely.
- Check household circuit breaker for partial trip (reset fully OFF then ON position).
- Verify GFCI outlet hasn’t tripped (common in laundry rooms with moisture exposure).
- If PF appears without actual power loss: replace noise filter DC96-00488A (False trigger from voltage spike or failing filter).
- Consider installing UPS backup for areas with frequent brief power interruptions.
Still Not Working?
If the replacement part didn’t fix the issue, you may have a wiring problem or main board failure.
