Error Code: SUD Difficulty: Easy
Problem: Excess suds detected – non-HE detergent or overdosing causing foam buildup
How to Fix SUD Error
- Cancel current cycle and select Rinse+Spin cycle without detergent 2-3 times to remove suds.
- Use only HE (High Efficiency) detergent labeled specifically for front-load washers.
- Reduce detergent amount to 1-2 tablespoons (15-30ml) for standard loads; 1 tablespoon for soft water areas.
- Avoid liquid fabric softener – use dryer sheets instead (softener coats drum causing suds retention).
- Clean detergent dispenser drawer thoroughly with warm water and old toothbrush to remove residue buildup.
- Run Tub Clean cycle monthly with affresh tablet or 1 cup white vinegar to remove soap scum buildup.
- Check water hardness – soft water requires less detergent than hard water (use water test strip to determine dosage).
