Problem: Drain system fault – water not draining within expected time

How to Fix Washer Error

1. Unplug washer and prepare for water drainage.
2. Remove 3 torx screws securing lower front panel.
3. Place large towel underneath pump access area.
4. Slowly unscrew drain pump filter cap counterclockwise (expect 1-2 cups residual water).
5. Remove all debris from filter basket and pump housing including coins, hairpins, and bra wires.
6. Manually rotate impeller with finger – must spin freely 360° without binding or grinding noise.
7. Check drain hose routing: maximum height 96 inches above floor, no sharp bends, and not inserted >
8. 5 inches into standpipe.
9. Disconnect drain hose from standpipe and inspect interior for clogs using flashlight.
10. If impeller is damaged, pump makes grinding noise, or doesn’t run during drain cycle, replace drain pump W
11. After repair, run diagnostic drain test cycle verifying complete drainage within 4 minutes with no error codes.
