How to Fix bE1 Error
- Power cycle washer completely (unplug 5 minutes) to reset control logic.
- Inspect control panel for liquid spills causing button short (look for residue around buttons).
- Remove top panel (3 rear screws) and disconnect control panel ribbon cable from main PCB.
- Clean ribbon cable contacts with 90% isopropyl alcohol and lint-free cloth – let dry 5 minutes.
- Test button matrix continuity with multimeter in diode mode – power button should read open circuit when released, ~
- 6V when pressed.
- Replace control panel assembly DC97-15318A if button stuck closed or ribbon cable damaged (traces cracked).
- Ensure no objects pressing against control panel during operation (laundry baskets, shelves).
