How to Fix AE Error

Power cycle washer completely (unplug 10 minutes).
Remove top panel and locate main-to-control ribbon cable (typically 10-16 pin flat cable, gray connector).
Disconnect both ends carefully using connector release tabs – inspect for bent pins or moisture damage.
Clean contacts with 90% isopropyl alcohol and lint-free cloth – let dry completely.
Check cable routing for pinch points near sharp metal edges or screw penetrations.
Test continuity of all conductors in ribbon cable with multimeter (no opens or shorts between adjacent pins).
